Shanthi Viswanthan hails from Mumbai, India. Shanthi has trained in Indian classical music in both Carnatic and Hindustani styles for more than a decade. She learned the art from various Gurus, most of whom are well known & accomplished artists.  Her training in various styles of music gives her the versatility which reflects in her performances.  Shanthi performs Indian film music songs both vintage and contemporary, Bhajans, and semi classical music.  Shanthi speaks 5 languages. She performs with clear diction in north and south Indian languages such as Tamil, Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, etc. 

She has worked in the past with well known bands & has performed internationally & locally.  Currently Shanthi performs with well known professional bands in South Florida and is available for musical concerts and private parties.  Shanthi teaches Hindustani and light music to serious students. She is an active member of the South Florida Indian community and volunteers at the Indian temple. Shanthi holds a postgraduate degree in Commerce. She can be reached via email at vishmani@hotmail.com
