Ravi hails from Avocat Village in South Trinidad. He has grown up and been involved with music all his life. He comes from a family who is very involved with cultural activities here in South Florida. His father happens to be a very good singer also. Ravi is multi talented and plays the Tabla, Dholak, Tassa and the Electronic Rhythm Section for the FMM Orchestra. Ravi began singing with the FMM about 10 years ago and today, has established himself as a true replica of the great Kumar Sanu, here in Florida. His melodious voice continues to mature and portray that of the great Sanu himself. He now wears the cap of "Lead Male Vocalist". Ravi can not only deliver some heart wrenching melodies of the great Kumar Sanu and Kishore, but also does Chutney, Bhaangra, Reggae and Calypso. He is a credit to the band and the entire South Florida West Indian Community. Ravi would like to big up the people down at "Masahood Junction", South Trinidad and all his supporters and fans wherever they mey be.
